For years, I believed working hard would take care of everything. Like many of us, I grew up hearing that money was hard to earn. But I didn’t understand how to manage debt, protect my family, or prepare for the future.

It took financial mistakes—and lessons I wish I had learned sooner—before I began paying closer attention to my finances. As I learned, I started to see possibilities I hadn’t known were there.

Today, I’m grateful for what I’ve learned, and I’m still learning. I share that knowledge because I know what it feels like to work hard and still feel unsure about your financial future. I want to help others feel comfortable asking questions and taking their first steps.

Our financial future deserves our attention. We don’t have to figure it out alone, but we do have to take the first step.
